This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the only uses of Soemel that are prohibited. Everything else is permitted.
Our philosophy: we are neutral infrastructure, like electricity or the internet. We do not police topics, professions, content types, or creative directions. We prohibit only activities that constitute criminal offences under applicable law, because those are the only restrictions that are genuinely necessary to protect people and society.
If you're a writer, researcher, security professional, adult content creator, business owner, or anyone else — you are welcome on Soemel. We are not here to second-guess your work.
You must not use Soemel to facilitate, plan, or carry out the following criminal activities:
Generating, distributing, or soliciting any sexual content involving minors. This is a criminal offence in every jurisdiction and an absolute prohibition with no exceptions.
Planning, financing, inciting, or facilitating acts of terrorism, genocide, or mass violence; or providing material support to designated terrorist organisations.
Using Soemel to commit financial fraud, identity theft, phishing campaigns targeting real individuals, or advance-fee scams — where the intent and target are real and the purpose is to cause financial harm.
Carrying out unauthorised access to, or attacks against, computer systems you do not own and have not been authorised to test. (Security research and penetration testing on systems you own or are authorised to test is explicitly permitted.)
Providing operational assistance in the development or deployment of biological, chemical, nuclear, or radiological weapons capable of mass casualties.
Recruiting, transporting, or exploiting people through force, fraud, or coercion for labour or sexual exploitation.
For clarity, the following are explicitly permitted on Soemel:
We do not impose ideological, moral, or cultural content restrictions. We respect your autonomy as an adult user.
If you encounter content or behaviour on Soemel that you believe violates this AUP or applicable criminal law, please report it:
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports are treated confidentially.
When we receive a credible report or identify a potential violation, our process is:
We will not terminate accounts based on subjective judgements about content that does not violate criminal law. The threshold for action is clear and narrow.
This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP is a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in account termination as described in Section 10 of the Terms.
This AUP is governed by Romanian law. See the Terms of Service for jurisdiction and dispute resolution details.
